A local arm-wrestling club dominated the western Canadian arm-wrestling scene this month, taking home 11 trophies and medals at the Stronghold tournament in Drayton Valley on Dec. 11 and 12.

Two women were declared deceased at the scene of a two vehicle collision on Highway 9, north of Irricana on Dec. 22, 2021, at 12:40 a.m.

“There are quite a few owl species that do remain in Alberta year-round, so we want to get the message out about them and [for people] to be mindful of them, especially as the days are shorter now. It’s not unheard of to see owls in winter and it can actually be easier to see owls in the winter.”
