In recognition of the influence of poetry in our lives, we here at Airdrie Public Library (APL) are excited to announce our fifth annual poetry contest, Poetry in Motion.

St. Martin de Porres High School's Class of 2023 celebrated their impending graduation during a group mass and convocation ceremony at Airdrie's St. Paul's Catholic Church on May 26.

“I am very excited,” said Jeannette Richter, a Beiseker resident and the president of the Meadowlark Trail Society, which helped spearhead and oversee the trail's development. “Some of us started this when our hair was brown, and now it’s white. It’s been a long time.”

Recognizing the urgent need for assistance, the Beiseker Fire Department responded to AEMA’s request for additional apparatus.

Springbank Community High School’s graduating class is gearing up for a busy week full of emotions and memories as they enter “Grad Week” on May 29.

The Airdrie Over 50 Club recently held acrylic and watercolour painting classes, the products of which now adorn public spaces throughout town.

President of the Airdrie Rotary Club, Scott Bell, said this year’s boil is particularly special, as the local rotarians are celebrating their 40-year anniversary in 2023.

Langenau said participants can expect a fun-filled day of golf and goodwill with the help of some special celebrity guests, including former NHL players Mike Green and Ty Rattie (the latter of whom is an Airdrie minor hockey product) as well as former Calgary Stampeder D.B. Hayes.

“The key service provides year-round employment for Canadian amputees and people with disabilities at the War Amps sheltered workshop,” said Lisa Dejong, War Amps regional representative.

When asked about his experience of working with the Bert Church students, Clark said he's always amazed at the youth who commit to art. He said his role is to simply provide guidance through the process.
