Haley Fanning and Hailey Bessette were among six new hires recently brought into the Chestermere department to respond to the City’s growing need for emergency response services. They're the full-time department's first female firefighters.

From living in a Toyota in Los Angeles, a new musical talent has travelled a long road to arrive at Redwood Meadows as the chosen location for his debut album release party.

“I just want to thank my parents and everyone who helped me through everything – my coaches and teammates who helped push me to be better,” he said.

“Everybody is exploring more digital capabilities, and so we are forward-thinking as to how we’re evolving,” she said.

The newly elected board chair said though she felt ready to take on the position last year, she feels even more prepared this time around, having served a “second stint” as vice-chair for the RVS board during the 2021-22 school year.

“We’re thrilled to be launching a new program that will help ensure we have the right support services businesses need to be successful,” said Mayor Peter Brown in the City’s press release.

“We know there are a lot of people from Rocky View County and Airdrie that come out to the Ghost to recreate, and we want to connect with those people and make sure that people know how to use the best skills possible out there to keep the land in good shape,” she said.

"My heart is pounding right now and I'm still so surprised from what I got last week," Contant said about the double-win. "This is too much. I can't believe it."
