Bert Church High School hosted the annual Bert Church Invitational (BCI) senior high-school basketball tournament this weekend.

The County holds the lease on the partially reclaimed Roe Pit, but it hadn’t harvested gravel from the site since 1989, after having exhausted all reserves above the groundwater table and discovering a natural aquifer beneath the site. 

Rocky View County (RVC) council approved the Master Site Plan and rezoning application to allow the establishment of a new school for students with differential needs near Bearspaw during the Dec. 13 meeting.

Rocky View County (RVC) residents will be paying about six per cent more in property taxes in 2023. In a narrow vote at the Dec. 14 special meeting, Rocky View County council approved its draft budget in principle for 2023.

Langdon residents will have to drive to Chestermere or Strathmore in early 2023 if they want to pick up a package or drop off a parcel to mail, as the hamlet is set to lose their local post office at the end of the month.

“RVC Fire Services needs to look at our future community needs and resources,” he said. “Our goal, moving forward, is moving ahead with some of our master plan initiatives which really define a future in needs."
