After their dominant regular season, the Airdrie Xtreme U15 AAA boys' hockey team is kicking off the Alberta Elite Hockey League (AEHL) playoffs with a best-of-three series against the Calgary Royals this Thursday. 

Priest, 18, earned a fourth-place finish in the women's individual compound division, as well as a gold medal in the mixed-teams event, alongside her Alberta teammate Adam Berge, of Sturgeon County.

The 16-year-old Bert Church High School student-athlete won all three of her bouts in the women's 60-kilogram weight class to walk away with the gold medal around her neck on March 4.
