W.G. Murdoch School's many band students are eagerly rehearsing for the Crossfield school's upcoming Christmas concert, set for Dec. 14 at 5:30 p.m.

"To... actually be able to talk to Santa and visit with him and take part in some Christmas activities, everybody’s always in a jolly mood and it’s just a really fun day for kids and parents," Latham said.

Crossfield’s Remembrance Day ceremonies will be a bit more abbreviated this year compared to previous years.

The Crossfield Christmas Market was helping shoppers get into the spirit of the holidays on Nov. 4 and 5 at the Crossfield and District Community Centre.

The market, which always boasts a variety of homemade items and food products on offer, will offer shoppers an early opportunity to find stocking stuffers and unique gift ideas.

"The resident saw an unknown male inside of the garage with a firearm," read an RCMP press statement. "However, the suspect fled on foot before [the RCMP's] arrival."

"The male was driving a truck and asked the teenager where she lived and if she wanted a ride home," read the press statement. 

“We wanted to make sure there was a dedicated event for [our donors] to come and see it, but also to celebrate,” Keenan said.

“We love seeing our kids come in costumes and we also actually love seeing our parents come in costumes as well,” she added. “It’s just a really fun family night."

The second motorcyclists was also transported to Foothills hospital by ground ambulance, according to the press release, and is in stable condition. However, the condition of the motorcyclist who was transported via S.T.A.R.S is considered in critical condition.
