Rocky View area emergency responders do mock evacuation exercise in Bragg Creek

The Bragg Creek & Area Chamber of Commerce is laying the groundwork for the installation of a new mural to be established outside a local pharmacy in the coming weeks.

Rocky View County, Tsuut'ina Nation, and the Canadian Red Cross are letting residents know they will be conducting an Emergency Management Exercise in Bragg Creek on April 21. The exercise, set to take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bragg Creek community members pulled together to support the Canadian Red Cross' Ukrainian relief efforts on March 25, contributing $18,420 toward the cause during a day-long fundraiser hosted by the Powderhorn Sallon.

Delorme added one of the reasons she thought to host the inaugural event in Bragg Creek is to bring together the community following the COVID-19 pandemic.  

The Bragg Creek Community Association is hosting a concert featuring decorated Canadian country music star Gord Bamford on March 12 at the Bragg Creek Community Centre, in partnership with Swamp Donkey Musical Theatre Society and Bragg Creek Performing Arts.

Kalyn Kodiak will be bringing her traditional knowledge to Bragg Creek on Feb. 19

The inaugural Winter in the Woods Family Festival on Jan. 29 raised funds for the hamlet's local skating rink and the Bragg Creek Community Association.

Wilco Southwest Contractors Inc., which was awarded the contract through a public call to tender process, is planning to work in an expedited manner to reach completion by a tentative date of this June. 

Rocky View County (RVC) council has put the Bragg Creek Hamlet Expansion Strategy Area Structure Plan (ASP) on hold, at least temporarily.
