Despite frigid temperatures, families in Bragg Creek and visitors from far and wide came out in droves for the hamlet's second Winter in the Woods Festival on Jan. 28 – an event that boasted a plethora of indoor and outdoor games and activities.

The second annual Winter in the Woods festival and fundraiser in support of the Bragg Creek Community Association will be held Jan. 28 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

“I am excited to see how we can use this tool to benefit our community and how we provide public safety to the residents,” he continued.

A storm is brewing in the usually sleepy little community of Redwood Meadows, and it has nothing to do with the weather.

A recreational women's hockey group in Bragg Creek is seeking new players as they head into the new year. Bragg Creek Ladies Hockey meets at the hamlet's local outdoor rink every Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. for drills and shinny.

“It’s a feel-good, holiday show that is for everyone of all ages. It’s really just about the true meaning of Christmas.”

The mix-up occurred on a device called the Square, which is a device that works with a variety of software options.

The Bragg Creek Community Association brought back its day-long Christmas festival – Spirit of Christmas – on Dec. 3.

“We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back [for the event] and we’re hoping everybody enjoys the Christmas spirit that we’re trying to project,” she said, adding the event will mark the third weekend of Christmas-themed events in the Creek.
