Airdronians beware, you're in for a scare. 

According to the report, Airdrie continues to be one of the fastest-growing municipalities in both Alberta and Canada, with a 20 per cent increase in population from 2016 to 2021, a 24 per cent increase in business licenses issued, and a 36 per cent increase in employment in the same time frame

"Ever Bright will continue to provide support and advocate for the less privileged individuals in our great community of Airdrie and surroundings," Adelegan said.

St. Martin de Porres High School hosted the annual Kodiak Klassik volleyball tournament on Oct. 15, featuring teams from Airdrie, Cremona, Calgary, and other communities.

With Airdrie in the midst of Small Business Week, Marilyne Aalhus, executive director of the Airdrie Chamber of Commerce, said the city is still a welcoming place for small businesses to set up shop.

“My hope is we expand, grow … to help the health-care inequalities in the marginalized communities,” she said. “My hope is that everybody in the world will have health care, because it’s a basic human right," Alvi said.

“Our City website, airdrie.ca has always been a convenient way for residents to stay connected with the City and the information that’s important to them,” said Mayor Peter Brown in the press statement.

Homestead Market, just south of Airdrie, hosted its second annual Fibre & Fabric Fest - a market dedicated to fibre arts, sewing, fabric, and needle crafts - on Oct. 15 and 16.

"The resident saw an unknown male inside of the garage with a firearm," read an RCMP press statement. "However, the suspect fled on foot before [the RCMP's] arrival."

"The male was driving a truck and asked the teenager where she lived and if she wanted a ride home," read the press statement.
