The Springbank community of Harmony has been named BILD Alberta’s 2023 “Growing Community of the Year.”

BILD (Building Industry and Land Development) Alberta build is an industry advocacy group which represents about 1,300 builders across the province. Each year BILD Alberta hosts an awards night to celebrate the achievements of its builders. Entries are judged in over 30 different categories. This year’s BILD Alberta awards were held in Banff on the weekend of Sept. 16-17. During the awards ceremony, Harmony was recognized with the BILD Alberta’s 2023 Growing Community of the Year Award. Finalists and winners were determined through peer review and judging.

“We are honoured to be named BILD Alberta’s Growing Community of the Year,” said Daisy Lieu, marketing and builder relations manager for Qualico Communities Calgary, who are the co-developers of Harmony, in a statement released to the media. “This recognition is a testament to the collective spirit of our partners to create a vibrant and thriving place to live. We look forward to our journey of growth and making an even greater impact on the lives of those who call this community home.”

“It is a great honour to have Harmony’s vision and our team’s dedication to the community recognized with this award,” says Birol Fisekci, director of Harmony co-developer Bordeaux Developments. “Harmony’s success is the result of the collaboration between many stakeholders from our team, our partner Qualico Communities, our builders, members of the community, and Rocky View County.”

Launched in 2016, Harmony is a master-planned community. The community includes a 40-acre fresh-water lake (with another 100-acre lake under construction); beaches; pathways; playgrounds; and an Adventure Park. Harmony is also home to the Mickelson National Golf Club.

“The current product offering and Harmony’s amenities with gorgeous Rocky Mountain views make it a truly unique place to live,” said Laurel Campbell, Harmony marketing manager for Bordeaux Developments. “It brings together the best of urban and country experiences to create a remarkable community.”
