Rocky View County has announced that, effective immediately, County Hall will be closed through March 31 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"The municipality will ensure essential services continue, including fire protection, snow clearing, and law enforcement, and waste disposal sites will remain open," a news release stated. "All other activities will be suspended during the closure.
The County apologizes for any inconvenience, but states it is "following the necessary steps outlined by Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer and to do our part in limiting the spread of the virus."
Additionally, all official County events until April 1 have been cancelled.

Residents are also asked to delay any routine requests for information.
The facility is slated to reopen April 1.
