It is all well and good to be able to identify the eight different native species of corvid living in Alberta, but if you can’t pick them out in the wild, the knowledge loses much of its significance and meaning.

With the UCP garnering so much of its support from rural ridings, small-town Alberta will surely enjoy unprecedented influence in the legislature for the next four years. 

This was my third election in as many years (if you count the municipal and federal votes overlapping in 2021) and I was just glad to put this most recent one to bed. 

For most viewers, Monday night probably seemed to pass by in almost slow motion

Navigating high school during a period of raging hormones and physical changes is no easy task. Add in the stress of adolescent social dynamics and a heightened focus on academic achievement, simply getting through high school unscathed can seem like an overwhelming burden for many teenagers.

As much as we say we don’t like negative campaigning, the combatants know the fear and anger it stirs up can be good for business.

Some may say this is sad, but I look at it more as an opportunity – an opportunity to change my mind set, work hard, and achieve my health goals.

Dear editor, As per George Orwell’s allegorical novella Animal Farm, the attitude of the Airdrie Chamber and the City of Airdrie appears to be one of, “All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.”

Even if you ignore the news altogether, it's pretty obvious whenever there's an election going on, simply by venturing outside.

Despite the vitriol between Alberta's two main political combatants this election, there’s actually not much to choose between them when it comes to making grandiose promises to throw ever more cash at ever more issues.
