County councillors unanimously approved an $800,000 budget adjustment for the Bragg Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Rocky Viewís staff is considering an overhaul of the Countyís planning operation processes, making them more streamlined and customer oriented. The Process Redesign Team (PRT), which began its work in early 2011, presented an update to council, Jan.

Canadian ethanol policy has directly impacted Canadian grain markets and users of grain, such as the Canadian livestock and meat industry, according to a George Morris Centre study. The study was released on Jan. 31.

An afternoon robbery left the local Superstore Liquor Store down $300 in stock after a brazen theft, Jan. 24. At 3:20 p.m., a male suspect entered the store and stuffed several bottles of liquor in a re-useable grocery bag and backpack.

Premier Alison Redford and several of her ministers re-announced $2.8 million in GreenTRIP funding, which will be used for buses and improvements previously made to the bus garage and maintenance facility, Jan. 25.

With a $37-million increase in total construction projects from 2010, Rocky View County had a bounceback year in 2011. More than $105 million stems from industrial projects, up from $17 million the year before.
