Airdrie City council approved a motion to allocate $759,000 to the Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) Program for preventive social programs on Dec. 16.

The City of Airdrie approved a curbside organics pickup program to commence in April 2014, at the Dec. 16 council meeting. The program underwent a four-month pilot project in the Waterstone and Canals neighbourhoods in 2013.

A 29 year old Airdrie man is wanted on a province-wide warrant as of press time, following a cocaine bust at an Airdrie residence on Dec. 4.
