Show Us Your Heart Fundraiser's Local Connection

For the third year in a row Global Pet Foods Airdrie has selected Tails to Tell Animal Rescue Shelter in Crossfield as the pet rescue group to donate to during the Show Us Your Heart campaign.

For the third year in a row Global Pet Foods Airdrie has selected Tails to Tell Animal Rescue Shelter in Crossfield as the pet rescue group to donate to during the Show Us Your Heart campaign.

“Show Us Your Heart has been going for about seven years now,” said James Froese, owner of Global Pet Foods Airdrie. “The neat thing with this campaign is we get to choose where we think the most help is needed. The Success that Tails to Tell was having from the small location she (Edna Jackson, Tails to Tell founder) was at had a lot of positive feedback.”

From now until Feb. 14 residents can visit either of the Global Pet Food locations in Airdrie to make a donation. One hundred per cent of the funds raised will go to Tails to Tell.

“With every donation, Global Pet Foods and Natural balance will match the amount,” Froese said.

“This year we have a dog cookie, which people can purchase and 100 per cent of those proceeds will also go directly to Tails to Tell.”

Jackson has been running the no-kill shelter, which services Airdrie and the surrounding area, since 2006 and has found forever homes for hundreds of animals over the years.

She said the shelter costs about $8,000 to $10,000 a month to run and funds will go directly to covering some of those costs.
