The staff and management of Airdrie’s Genesis Place want to hear from you.

The recreational facility, which serves Airdrie, Rocky View County and Calgary residents, is seeking input on programs and services from both users and non-users alike.

Residents are encouraged to take part in an online survey, available at www.airdrie.ca/genesis_place

“This facility is a big part of this community,” said Genesis Place Manager Greg Lockert.

“We feel like we are on the right path, but we are looking at how we can get bigger and grow and meet the needs of the community.”

The survey, which will be open until Nov. 20, includes questions on the ease of signing up for programs, the facility’s cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

There is also the opportunity for providing additional comments and suggestions for the facility’s staff.

“We are just trying to get some feedback on services, and are we meeting expectations,” Lockert said.

“We want to make sure we are still doing what we think we are doing.”

Genesis Place is a multi-use facility that offers a number of programs and services for users of all ages.

The facility offers fitness and nutrition classes, such as yoga, aerobics and weight training, as well as community-wellness programs, such as babysitting courses and home-alone courses.

In addition to the swimming area, Genesis Place includes several gymnasiums, meeting rooms, restaurants, a running and walking track, physiotherapy clinic, soccer field and gymnastics facility.

“We are a really busy facility,” Lockert said. “We see 1.3 million people every year come into Genesis Place.”
