On May 17, a report was made to the RCMP of an unknown man touching himself sexually in a vehicle.

The man was the lone occupant of the vehicle and has been described as Caucasian with short brown hair with some grey. He is believed to be approximately six feet tall and approximately 180 pounds.

Rollover on Highway 2

Airdrie Rural RCMP, Airdrie Fire Department (AFD) and Alberta Health Services EMS responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 2 near CrossIron Mills mall on May 27.

The accident occurred at around 5 p.m. when a southbound passenger vehicle lost control and entered the centre median, colliding with the barrier and rolling over.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was treated for minor injuries by paramedics.

“Traffic was pretty heavy at the time of the incident so it doesn’t look like speed was a factor, and road conditions were dry,” said Cpl. Darrin Turnbull, Airdrie Integrated Traffic Unit (ITU).

As of press time, the accident was still being investigated and the cause of the collision had not been released, along with the name and age of the driver or whether charges will be laid.

Police are asking for anyone with information regarding these incidents to contact the Airdrie RCMP at 403-945-7200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
