Dry weather has led to multiple grass fires starting up in Airdrie this afternoon.
According to the City of Airdrie, the fires started along the rail road tracks north of Airdrie, within Airdrie city limits, and south of Airdrie.
"There may be heavy smoke in these areas, please use caution and stay away from areas with smoke or flames," a Facebook post from the City stated.
Residents in the community of Hillcrest are most affected currently, with a fire burning just south of that community.
