Mid-morning robbery at Airdrie Walmart

An armed robbery took place in Airdrie March 12 at the Walmart on Main Street, according to a press release from Airdrie RCMP.

The robbery occurred at 9:05 a.m., when four masked suspects smashed the display windows in the electronics department.

"They fled the scene with stolen merchandise in a black sedan," the release stated.
 
According to the RCMP, an update will be provided when further information becomes available.
