Alberta reports 72 new COVID-19 infections, one more death

On Saturday, Alberta confirmed 72 new cases of people infected with COVID-19. Another person has died.

There are currently 1,084 active cases of the virus in the province, with 876 of those in the Calgary zone.

In total, 126 Albertans have died so far from COVID-19.

So far, 5,377 Albertans have recovered from the virus. Sixty people are in hospital, with eight of them in intensive care.

The province has lifted some restrictions on public gatherings, allowing outside gatherings to include up to 50 people. Indoor gatherings are still limited to fewer than 15 people.
