King’s Kids Preschool in Airdrie is inviting local families with young children to celebrate Easter with them this coming Saturday.

“We’re calling it ‘Little Bunnies Easter Festival,’ and we are having a petting zoo put on through Butterfield Acres,” explained Renee McCracken of the King’s Kids Preschool parent fundraising committee, which is hosting the event. “We’re having an egg hunt with time slots for kids to come and hunt. We are having some games out for kids to play. We also have glitter tattoos, cotton candy and balloons, and a photo op with the Easter Bunny.”

Those wishing to bring their children (the event is catered to youth from ages two to five) to King’s Heights Outdoor Rink Field at 470 King’s Heights Drive SE must pre-register with the parent fundraising committee before taking part.

“For us, this is a chance to celebrate community again after COVID,” said McCracken. “This is the first year the school has been able to operate again without COVID protocols. So we just wanted to get families back together and create that community feel for the kids in our preschool and kids in the community, and just offer some good family fun.”

Those wishing to register to take part in the events can do so by going to the King’s Kids Preschool Inc. page on Facebook or by emailing [email protected].

“We do have limited spots available,” explained McCracken; “so registration has to be done in order to secure your spot. It’s going to be fun for the whole family.”

The Little Bunnies Easter Festival starts at 2 p.m. and goes until 4 p.m.
