Did you know Airdrie has English language learning (ELL) opportunities for adults?

Did you know Airdrie has services and resources for the LGBTQ2S+ community?

Our not-so-little prairie city has a diverse base of services and programs designed to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive community, and Airdrie Public Library (APL) has a web page where you can find them all.

A hurdle for people hoping to thrive in a community can often simply be a lack of knowledge of what is available to them. As a library, one of our goals is to foster knowledge, so if you look on our website under the Library Services tab, you’ll find Community Services, a comprehensive list of groups, phone numbers, and addresses of everything Airdrie has to offer.

There, you’ll find information on local resources that connect people to services, supports, and resources such as help for job-seekers, food bank information, affordable housing rental programs, as well as crisis support and referrals.

There’s also information on urgent care services, addictions and mental health resources, the kids help phone, hospice, and victims assistance.

Airdrie has top notch services for youth and seniors, offering clubs, mentoring services, and plenty of volunteer opportunities.

Resources are also available for the LGBTQ2S+ community, promoting and celebrating diversity and inclusion and the opportunity for people of all gender identities and sexual orientations to work together to ensure a safe and supportive community.

Situated on Treaty 7 territory, Airdrie has Indigenous resources that focus on inclusion, education, and space for people to engage in meaningful conversations.

Our growing city also has numerous resources for child care, transit, legal aid, immigration services, volunteering, continuing education, English as a second language, and opportunities and events available through the City of Airdrie.

Airdrie has it all, and you can find these resources and much more at airdriepubliclibrary.ca
