The Iron Horse Park annual Bunny Run took place on March 30th to help collect donations for the Airdrie Food Bank.

Although sunny, the temperature was still rather cold and somewhat windy. About 260 people showed up with food donations. They also purchased tickets whose funds were donated to the Airdrie Food Bank.

By the end of the day, Iron Horse Park had collected 152 pounds of food which the food bank estimated at $538, and $475 in cash from ticket sales.
We had hoped it would have been a bit more successful but still a decent accomplishment for running trains in what is still practically an Alberta Winter. I trust the weather will cooperate this summer when we will likely host another fund raiser for the Food Bank.
