Airdrie dealership announces specialty vehicle wrap for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

“We’re hoping to raise a ton of money for cancer research and survivors and everybody that has been unfortunate enough to have to deal with cancer,” he said.

Cam Clark Ford in Airdrie has announced the launch of a breast cancer awareness campaign this month featuring a specialty vehicle wrap on one of the dealership’s own Ford Broncos.

Lochlan Walker, social media manager at Cam Clark Ford in Airdrie, said the vehicle wrap is being used to promote awareness of and raise money towards breast cancer research and the Alberta Cancer Foundation. This year marks the campaign’s second year, after originally wrapping a Ford Mustang in 2021.

In exchange for a minimum donation of $10, guests can sign the vehicle with a sharpie on-site at the east Airdrie dealership, or at any participating businesses.

“Anywhere on the wrap you can actually sign your name, write a little story, you can say whatever you like,” Walker said.

He added through last year’s breast cancer awareness campaign, the dealership saw many Airdronians who have been afflicted by or have witnessed a loved one battle with breast cancer come out to share their personal stories.

“We met so many amazing people and we heard so many awesome stories from taking [the vehicle] out,” he said. “And it’s very eye-catching, as you can imagine – it's a giant pink Bronco.”

The Cam Clark employee said the dealership will be hosting the Bronco vehicle wrap throughout the month of October and a few weeks into November as well, to ensure adequate promotion.

“We’re going to be all over the place,” he added. “If people want the vehicle featured at their business, we’ll take it wherever.”

According to Walker, the campaign initially stemmed from a desire to work with the community to highlight local businesses, but also to be part of something bigger in Alberta.

“Airdrie [is] not by any means huge. We wanted to see if we can do something for the entire province,” he said.

According to Walker, the dealership hopes this year’s iteration will be even bigger and better than last year's.

“We’re hoping to raise a ton of money for cancer research and survivors and everybody that has been unfortunate enough to have to deal with cancer,” he said.

“Everybody has been touched by cancer [in some way] and it’s a horrible thing.

“The more that we can work towards making people’s lives easier who have been touched by it, that’s what’s important to us. It gives [us] a passion to go and support fellow Albertans.”

Those interested in partnering with Cam Clark Ford to display the Bronco vehicle wrap are encouraged to reach out to the dealership directly at 403-948-6660
