Have You Heard the News? A Locally Owned and Operated Clinic is Here for You and Your Ears!

For Rolseth, empowering clients with information, resources and help with hearing protection and loss means helping people have their best quality of life.

During International Women’s Month, AirdrieTODAY is celebrating women that are making a difference in our local business and community landscapes. Meet Ceara Rolseth from Superior Hearing Solutions.

Ceara Rolseth is a REGISTERED HEARING AID PRACTIONER and is BOARD CERTIFIED IN HEARING INSTRUMENT SCIENCE. She opened Superior Hearing Solutions in 2008.

“I opened Superior Hearing Solutions because there was a need for a full-service hearing clinic,” says Rolseth. “I decided to take my many years of working for hearing aid manufacturers, as well as many years in private practice both in Canada and Australia and put that experience to good use in my community.”

Superior Hearing Solutions provides a full range of hearing aids along with hearing tests, earwax management and tinnitus treatment. Being invested in educating her clients, Rolseth provides a variety of in-depth resources on the Superior Hearing website. For example, those with questions about what is going on with their hearing can rely on science-based information about sensorineural hearing loss (the most common form of loss; occurs when there is damage to the inner ear or sound signal pathways), binaural hearing (different levels of hearing in both ears) and the many different options for hearing protection (including custom ear plugs).

For Rolseth, empowering clients with information, resources and help with hearing protection and loss means helping people have their best quality of life.

“Hearing loss can affect people of all ages,” she explains. “People can lose hearing due to various illnesses, heredity factors, accidents, and noise exposure. A growing body of research indicates that untreated hearing loss can lead to impaired memory and cognitive decline. Millions of hearing-impaired older adults are more likely to suffer early memory and thinking problems than adults without hearing loss.”

She is pleased with the growth and success of the clinic.

“I think one of the things that sets us apart is that we are locally owned and operated. We are not owned by a hearing aid manufacturer. This allows us the ability to promote any hearing device available on the market if it is in the best interest of the client.”

While this also means competing with big box realtors and manufacturer-owned clinics, it is hard to beat the personalised, friendly service found in her local clinic.

“I love helping clients hear their loved ones more clearly,” smiles Rolseth.

The clients agree, which is why Superior Hearing Solutions is pleased to have a nearly perfect 5/5 score on Google reviews, and a perfect 5/5 score on Facebook reviews. Superior is also a Chamber member in good standing and has an A+ rating with 0 customer complaints with the Better Business Bureau.

When not busy in the clinic, you’ll find Rolseth and her team very busy supporting the community.

She notes, “Currently we are sponsors for Airdrie Amazing Women and Awesome Airdrie Kids. I also belong to the 100 Women Who Give a Damn organization.”
