During International Women’s Month, AirdrieTODAY is celebrating women that are making a difference in our local business and community landscapes. Meet Crystal Adamo from the Crystal Adamo Real Estate Team with RE/MAX® Rocky View.

Crystal Adamo a local Airdrie Realtor and resident of Airdrie for nearly 30 years provides Driven, Trustworthy and Reliable service to her clients while advocating in the Industry and giving back to the Community.

“I have been in sales for 32 years and in Real Estate for 11 years,” says Adamo. “After retiring from an amazing career in transportation sales to raise my children, I joined the Real Estate Industry when they entered school full-time. I was familiar with the business and I wanted the ability to work as much as I could, help my family financially, while taking time to be available for my children when they needed me. I remained committed to doing good work, and never strayed from setting goals for myself, and ensured that I represented my Clients properly. The dedication I committed to my Career over the years has now led to a very successful business with a supportive referral network of past clients, and many community people, for which I am very grateful.”

She credits that dedication, and her team, as drivers of her success.

“Being dedicated to the outcomes, continuing education, plus studying and predicting market trends are important in understanding the best ways to serve my Clients and our Team. To go from being a single agent to a Team of Ladies who want to succeed and achieve their goals, and continuing to help others, has been extremely rewarding and I look forward to many years of continuing to do what I love. This Career makes me quite happy and I have many more people to meet and help with their Real Estate needs.”

Since her move to Airdrie nearly 30 years ago, Adamo has been a constant community supporter through giving back and volunteering.

“I proudly support and have Volunteered for many charities within Airdrie. My belief in serving and giving back to the Community led me to be quite active with both the Airdrie & District Community Foundation and the Airdrie 1st Club (formerly the Airdrie Lioness) as both a Board Member and Volunteer of their Programs for many years. These organizations are very dear to me, and I still donate to them and to other local organizations. Our charities need our support to be able to carry on very important work for our city, it’s citizens, and for the betterment of our future.”

What does being a Woman in Business mean for Adamo?

“Being a woman in business requires great dedication to your skillset and an understanding that if you believe in yourself and what you are doing, and stay true to the reasons why you are in business (for me it is helping people), then you will be successful,” says Adamo. “Women work harder as many raise children, have households to tend to and relationships to nurture, and still manage to build a career for themselves and to help their family’s overall success.”

She continues, “For me, I feel fulfilled when I am working and challenging myself to learn more as well as helping people. When I was in grade 3, my Teacher wrote in my autograph book ‘Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.’ He told me that I would understand it one day, and now I do. I am lucky... but I have worked diligently for the opportunities that came my way.”

Part of helping people, for Adamo, is inspiring them; especially other women looking to contribute to the business world or in the community.

“Seeing other women succeed makes me happy. I mentor the ladies on my Team so they can achieve great success. I am always open to a conversation and to sharing some of the things I have learned over the years. We must support each other and never take away someone’s dream as that is what inspires others to take the steps and risks to better themselves, their lives, their families – and ultimately the people they serve in their careers. Go ladies go!”

Adamo is both pleased and humbled to be recognized over the years with many sales awards. Recently she received her highest award in Real Estate - the RE/MAX® Titan Club Team category.
