Balzac's New Horizon Mall is hosting its second Stampede "Breakfast for Dinner" event on July 10. The meal, presented by GMC, will include an array of breakfast grub including pancakes, sausage patties, eggs, beans, and fixings.
The mall last hosted the "Breakfast for Dinner" in 2019.
According to the mall's marketing manager Alex Winn, the Stampede Caravan Committee's famous breakfasts have been part of the Calgary tradition for more than 85 years. This year, New Horizon Mall is partnering with the committee to provide some Stampede-style food and fun to its patrons.
"We are excited to be joined by the Stampede Caravan Committee to host this fun event complete with food and entertainment," she said. "New Horizon Mall is honoured to be part of this experience and to welcome and provide Calgary and surrounding areas a western pancake breakfast and entertainment with a bit of a twist."
The event will also include live entertainment, with performances from the Alberta-based western band Renegade Station, Top Fuel Dragster, a classic car show, Comedy Cowboys, and Rocking Steve and band.
"We are excited for the opportunity for our customers and store operators to enjoy some Stampede hospitality in a way we haven't been able to for the past year and a half," Winn said.
She added that "Breakfast for Dinner is always a winner."
