Cochrane RCMP responded to a fatal motorcycle crash around 8:30 p.m. Sept. 5.
Two motorcyclists on separate bikes were travelling northbound on Twelve Mile Coulee road near Cochrane when a deer leapt from the side of the road and collided with one of the riders.
A 72-year-old male sustained grave injuries from the impact with the animal and did not survive.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
