Fire Advisory Lifted for East and West Rocky View County

Effective immediately, there are no fire advisories or bans in the east and west division of the County, and permit burning is allowed.
Rocky View County council approved a conceptual scheme for six lots during a meeting June 13.

Due to improving conditions, Rocky View County Fire Services has lifted its Fire Advisory for east and west Rocky View County.

Effective immediately, there are no fire advisories or bans in the east and west division of the County, and permit burning is allowed.

The County advised residents to always follow safe burning practices.

"Please note that while the Fire Advisory has been lifted in [East and] West Rocky View County, there may still be advisories or bans in neighbouring municipalities," the press release stated.

Changes in fire status are issued regionally: East, West, or combined East and West, with Highway 2 acting as the divider.
