Attempted break-and-enter with crowbar in RVC

A resident on Alexa Close in Rocky View County experienced a scary situation Aug. 11, after their home was approached by two males who allegedly used a crowbar to attempt to pry open the door to the residence, according to a release from Cochrane RCMP.

The suspects pulled up to the home shortly after 7 p.m., according to RCMP, in two separate vehicles – a red Mitsubishi Endeavour and a black Nissan Pathfinder.

"The homeowner called out that they were calling the police and the suspects fled," the release stated.

One suspect was described by police as a skinner, Caucasian male. He was was wearing a black hoodie, a red jacket with reflective stripes about half way down the forearm on both arms, black pants, sneakers and a blue or black baseball hat. The second male had a thicker build and was wearing a red polo shirt with the collar popped, a black or blue hat, dark coloured pants, black sneakers and was holding the crowbar. 

"Surveillance footage appears to show the suspects on the property an hour before the attempted break and enter, wearing service shirts," the release stated.
