As students returned to Bow Valley High School Sept. 24, Cochrane RCMP had a strong presence at the location. Over the weekend, an alleged threat of an unknown nature was made toward the high school.
There were no incidents to report at the school earlier though RCMP declare that such allegations are taken very seriously and that they are working with the school administration, student and the students' family that is said to have made the comments.
"Threats that come to our attention, the way that these threats came to attention, can be very difficult to manage," said Cst. Kary Moore with the Cochrane RCMP.
"If you are a witness to this event or if you have any information, you are urgerd to contact the Cochrane RCMP. Sharing information that you have heard and you're not sure if its true or notm can have far reaching consequences to all involved."
Cochrane RCMP is reminding students to report any safety concerns they may have to school administration and or the RCMP.
The investigating is still underway and further updates will be released when they become available.
