Woman sought in stolen credit card incident

Airdrie RCMP is seeking the public’s help in locating a woman suspected of using stolen credit cards.

According to a Nov. 27 release from the detachment, just before 5 a.m. Oct. 27, the woman entered the Shell and McDonald’s located in Cooper’s Plaza and used fraudulent credit cards.

“The cards had been stolen from a vehicle sometime over the course of the evening prior to their usage,” the release stated. “The female suspect then took a taxi into the Whitehorn area of Calgary where additional charges to the cards were made.”

Police describe the woman as Caucasian with a medium or “heavier” build, dark roots and “obvious” dyed-blonde hair. She was wearing a dark winter coat with a fur-lined hood and green hoodie, and was carrying a large, blue bag.

Anyone with information about this or any other crime is asked to call Airdrie RCMP at 403-945-7200, or your local police. Those who wish to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at P3Tips.com or by using the "P3 Tips" app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store.
