A man using counterfeit currency to make a purchase at the Shoppers Drug Mart on Market Street June 11 is being sought by Airdrie RCMP.
According to a release issued by RCMP June 28, the man is described as Caucasian with short brown hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt with a striped design on the front and a white baseball cap at the time.
According to RCMP, the man produced three $100 bills, described as being of “poor quality.”
The theft of a charity donation box June 26 from the Taco Time in the Sierra Springs shopping centre is being investigated by Airdrie RCMP.
The theft, which occurred at approximately 4:50 p.m., was caught on video surveillance. The donation box was located next to the cash register.
Two people are being sought by RCMP – a woman wearing a short-sleeved black T-shirt and a man wearing a white T-shirt. Both suspects are Caucasian. The woman’s hair appeared to be dyed two colours – blonde on top and dark underneath.
The two suspects got away with approximately $50.
Several thousands of dollars of tools and equipment were stolen during a break and enter June 30 at a commercial business located east of Balzac.
Airdrie RCMP is investigating the incident, which occurred at approximately 6:40 a.m. According to a release issued by RCMP June 30, the two male suspects drove up to the business in a light-coloured Ford Super Duty pickup truck and crawled under the fencing before breaking into a number of shipping containers.
The stolen items include Ryobi brand cordless power tools, a pressure washer and a leaf blower.
Requests for comment for all these incidents were not returned by RCMP by press time.
