Three vehicles were stolen from a rural address on Valleyview Road in Rocky View County on Nov. 25.
At about 10:45 p.m. that night, Airdrie RCMP responded a report of a break and enter at the address. They determined an unknown number of culprits gained access to a residence, as various items including jewelry and an electric guitar were missing. RCMP believe the culprits then entered an adjacent shop where the three vehicles had previously been parked.
The vehicle’s descriptions are: a dark grey 1998 Dodge Caravan with Alberta license plate UPL922; a white 2005 GMC Sierra Pickup, with “Ground Affects” written on three sides and a plow mounted on the front, and Alberta license plate 39K883; a white 2001 Chevrolet Silverado with “Ground Affects” written on three sides and Alberta license plate 38L828.
The Airdrie Crime Stoppers Association is looking for the public’s help in relation to a recent break, enter and theft at the ATCO pipelines site near Balzac.
RCMP believe unknown suspects broke into the location by cutting the locks off two chain link fences, sometime between Nov.18 and Nov. 21.
It is believed the suspects then used a cargo strap to pull the main door off its hinges to gain access into the garage before smashing the window of a Ford F250. Numerous tools were reported missing and it suspected that a 30-litre fire extinguisher was discharged into the cab of the truck.
Missing items include: a Scott Air Pack, tow straps, power cords, winter boots, deep sockets, two wrench sets, screwdrivers, pick set, pry bars, hammer, propane torch, level, pipe wrenches, hacksaw, pliers, vise grips, tubing cutters, benders and files – worth more than $5,000 collectively.
The estimated property damage to the Ford F250 is believed to be about $2,000. RCMP said the missing items would have a noticeable smell of natural gas.
