Rocky View Countyís planning department presented 28 amendments for the Land Use Bylaw (LUB) to councillors, Feb. 21.
Most of the amendments are minor in nature, however, three, including the use of former rail land and setbacks from rail rights-of-way; Agriculture Master Plan considerations; and Accessory Buildings and setback regulations are broader in scope and need to be reviewed.
Matthew Wilson, senior municipal planner for Rocky View, said the planning department intends to do an annual review of the LUB, as the last one was conducted in 2010.
According to Wilson, the planning department is working on a rewrite of the Municipal Development Plan and an overhaul of the Land Use Bylaw is imminent.
