“The fire was quickly extinguished and the female was located with severe, life-altering injuries,” RCMP said in a release. Her condition has since been upgraded to stable, according to RCMP.
An investigation of the incident led to the arrest of a male suspect, who was charged with attempted murder, carrying a weapon for a dangerous purpose, arson, two counts of possession of stolen property, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a weapon while prohibited and four counts of breach of recognizance.
