Airdrie RCMP is searching for a suspect after an altercation between two men on Big Hill Road on the afternoon of June 27 that left one with undisclosed injuries.

According to Cst. Jason Curtis of the Airdrie RCMP, the two got into an argument around 4:15 p.m. in the Big Springs residential area on the city’s east side.

The argument continued when the victim got into his car and tried to drive away on Big Hill Road. The suspect jumped a fence, stood in the roadway and confronted the victim in his vehicle.

The suspect smashed the vehicle window with a pipe and then hit the victim. The victim was dragged out of his vehicle and the suspect struck him again, this time in the face.

The suspect fled the scene with a third unidentified man who took the pipe with him.

The victim did not need to be transported to hospital, according to RCMP.

Curtis said RCMP is still investigating to determine the nature of the relationship between the two men, but he doesn’t think this was a random attack.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, with long black hair and a moustache or goatee. He’s 5’9” tall and 160 lbs, wearing a black T-shirt and shorts with a chain on his wallet.

If you have information on this crime, call Airdrie RCMP at 403-945-7200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
