Airdrie RCMP recover, return $150,000 worth of stolen property

Airdrie RCMP and the detachment's Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) have had a busy and productive month, recovering $150,000 worth of stolen items and returning them to their rightful owners.

A press release states that on May 10, Airdrie RCMP's CRU officers, with assistance from the Southern District Emergency Response Team and Airdrie RCMP general duty officers, conducted a search warrant in Rocky View County that resulted in $20,000 worth of stolen property being recovered. The property included tools, generators, personal items and identity documents.

From June 8 to 15, Airdrie CRU, in partnership with Airdrie RCMP General Duty, recovered two stolen vehicles, a stolen utility trailer, a stolen travel trailer and a stolen Skid Steer, all in Rocky View County, the release stated.

Multiple people have been charged as a result of these investigations, including:

Baljinder Sandhu (31) of Calgary has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Sarbjit Singh (40) of Calgary has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Sukhjit Dhaliwal (46) of Calgary has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Tirath Gill (25) of Calgary has been charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and two counts of failure to comply with a release order.

Dharminder Gosal (41) of Calgary has been charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Juanita Morrissey (45) of Balzac has been charged with possession of identity documents, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
