Alberta RCMP's Major Crimes Unit has taken carriage of an investigation into a suspicious death, after a deceased person was located in the area of Range Road 284 and Township Road 264 in Rocky View County on June 9.
Mounties responded to the report of a suspicious death at 8:32 a.m. southeast of Airdrie city limits, according to an email from the Airdrie RCMP detachment.
"At this time, the road is closed at the intersection of RR 284 and TWP 264, just north of RR 284. Please avoid the area," stated a press release.
"Residents in the area can expect an increased police presence for the next few days, and can also expect road closures in the area."
An autopsy will be performed at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Calgary on Tuesday, June 13.
