Airdrie RCMP is seeking the public's help in identifying a male suspect responsible for a robbery and assault in Nose Creek Regional Park on March 23.
According to the detachment, at about 7 p.m. that evening, a male was assaulted and his cell phone was stolen while he was walking in Nose Creek Regional Park. A press release states the victim was walking under the train bridge when he was approached by another male, who asked to borrow his phone.
“When the victim asked for his phone back, the suspect pushed him down to the ground and assaulted him,” the release stated. “The male suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.”
The suspect was described as Indigenous or Asian, standing approximately 5'5" and wearing a grey sweater, blue jeans and black Nike sneakers.
