Paul’s Pizza at 528 Second Ave. SE was broken into some time between the evening of Feb. 23 and the morning of Feb. 24.
According to restaurant employee Christina Lappas, unknown people cut the front door lock and disabled the building’s alarm system before entering through the front door.
“They broke into an ATM machine and stole about $8,000,” said Lappas. “They also broke into one of the VLT (Video Lottery Terminal) machines but it had no money in it.”
Lappas said the suspects also broke into the restaurant’s office and attempted to open the safe, but were unsuccessful.
