Airdrie has reported 285 active cases of COVID-19, down 10 since Dec. 14.

According to the report, women's employment hit an unprecedented low with 1.5 million women in Canada losing their jobs in the first two months of the pandemic. In April, women's participation in the workforce dropped to 55 per cent, a level not seen since 1986.

Airdrie has reported 282 active COVID-19 cases, down 27 from Dec. 17.

EDMONTON — Today is the day for the first COVID-19 vaccinations in Alberta. Health Minister Tyler Shandro says the first doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine are to be given to health workers in Edmonton and Calgary at 4 p.m.

The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines each require two shots weeks apart to be effective.
