Following a series of contamination-related incidents, the Town of Crossfield has released a public service announcement to both residents and visitors, reminding them to abide by certain conditions when using the Banta Park splash pad.

The municipality's notice advised against using the water splash park for cleaning children or pets. As the park's water is recycled and treated like that of a pool, adhering to proper usage is vital to avert any potential health hazards.

"For the same reason pets are not allowed, please refrain from using the splash park to clean children, particularly of feces," the PSA stated. "Failure to do so risks the splash park being closed to the public for undetermined periods of time due to disinfection."

Non-compliance with these guidelines may result in extended closures for thorough disinfection, as stated in the Town's announcement.
