Airdronians looking for a last-minute Friday date night idea or friends looking for something to do this evening should look no further than the Ron Ebbesen Arena parking lot.
Don't worry, it's not as bland as it sounds – for the third year in a row, Genesis Land Development is hosting a drive-in movie to provide Airdronians the opportunity to catch a flick (or two) under the stars.
“The drive-in has proven to be one of our more popular community events because it brings together families and neighbours,” said Brendan McCashin, vice-president of Land Development for Genesis. “It’s also a great atmosphere watching your favourite films under the stars,”
The double-feature includes showings of The Lion King, starting at 7 p.m., followed by Jurassic World at 10 p.m.
Attendees are asked to register and pay a $20+tax fee to reserve their parking spots.
Proceeds raised from ticket and treat sales will support the BGC Airdrie youth club.
