Airdrie Public Library (APL) has an amazing new eResource called BrainFuse.
BrainFuse is an online study help for all ages, including comprehensive writing assistance, job preparation and resume help, and live tutoring and job coaching.
Courtesy of our mothership the Marigold Library System, BrainFuse is divided into two components, HelpNow and JobNow.
HelpNow offers online homework help with professional tutors for all ages.
Yes, you read that correctly, professional tutors, available online, and it’s free with your APL card. Expert tutors familiar with Alberta curriculum are available from 2 p.m. – 11 p.m. MST every day (except on Statutory holidays).
HelpNow includes a Writing Lab with writing assistance and writing analysis, a Language Lab with help in French and Spanish, SkillSurfer, which offers lessons for every level of education, and much more.
JobNow is a suite of services and tools to help users in every step of their job search. It also includes live resume help, and resume templates and resources.
Live interview coaching and job coaching are also available.
You can meet with a live BrainFuse resume assistant, interview coach, or job coach from 2 p.m. – 11 p.m. MST every day (except on Statutory holidays).
JobNow includes a Resume Lab where you can submit your resume and receive expert feedback, Resume Templates, Resume Resources, and Skills First, which includes resume creation software, job interview preparation, and much more.
Other cool features of JobNow are the ability to match your skills with available jobs, career assessment tools, and discovering college majors and careers that match your skills.
BrainFuse’s HelpNow and JobNow resources are a significant step up in services designed to help APL patrons with their learning and employment needs.
