MOOSE JAW, Sask. — Brayden Yager scored into an empty net with 67 seconds left in the third period, Ryder Korczak had two assists and the Moose Jaw Warriors defeated the visiting Saskatoon Blades 3-1 in Western Hockey League action on Tuesday night.

Josh Hoekstra and Eric Alarie also scored for the Warriors (27-14-0-2), who outshot the Blades 31-21. Blades netminder Austin Elliott saved 28 of 30 shots.

Egor Sidorov scored the lone goal for the Blades (27-9-2-1).

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. — The Medicine Hat Tigers erupted for three goals in the first period then coasted to a 5-2 win over the visiting Prince George Cougars.

Andrew Basha scored twice for the Tigers (16-21-5-1), with singles netted by Cayden Lindstrom, Shane Smith and Dallon Melin.

Chase Wheatcroft and Viliam Kmec scored for the Cougars (17-19-4-0), who outshot the Tigers 29-28.
