He played in 345 games for Man U, scoring 74 goals, and acted as captain for 12 years. He also captained England on 65 occasions and scored 26 goals in 90 appearances.

In addition to his participation in the golf tournament, Robson will be involved in three days of soccer activities.

He will lend his expertise to players during special team practices and in a team scouting tournament.

The City of Airdrie, in support of Airdrieís bid to host the 2014 Alberta Summer Games Bid Committee, is asking residents to save the date of April 18.

The Selection Committee from Alberta Sport, Recreation, and Parks & Wildlife Foundation will tour several venues that day in an effort to determine if Airdrie is the right place to host the 2014 Alberta Summer Games.

The host groupís proposal includes the idea of having several events take place in Crossfield.

Community support could help Airdrie win this bid and the City is asking residents to assist with the visit by having people come out to the facilities, including Chinook Winds ballpark and Genesis Place, and cheer and show their support for the games.
