Airdrie's Team Sluchinski crowned curling provincial champs

Airdrie's Team Sluchinski won the provincial curling championship over the weekend and will be representing Alberta at the 2024 Montana's Brier.

To win the 2024 Alberta Boston Pizza Cup on Sunday, Aaron Sluchinski and his team beat Kevin Koe twice in the tournament, including the final.

"Alberta Champs and brier bound!!! We are incredibly proud to get to rep the blue and gold in Regina next month," they wrote on Facebook.

Jeremy Harty plays as the third, Kerr Drummond as the second, and Dylan Webster as the lead, while Sluchinski is the skip of the team.

The 2024 Montanas' Brier is taking place in Regina Saskatchewan from March 1-10. The Bier is a national tournament that brings in 18 of the top curling teams in Canada to compete to represent the country on the world stage.

Sluchisnki will also be representing Alberta with his wife Amanda at the 2024 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship.
