The Airdrie Thunder (white jerseys) will be seeking a victory in tonight's home HJHL playoff game against the Mountainview Colts.

The Airdrie Techmation Thunder and the Mountainview Colts are deadlocked in a 2-2 tie in their best-of-seven Heritage Junior Hockey League (HJHL) playoff series, with game five going tonight at the Ron Ebbesen Arena.

The Colts are coming off a 4-3 overtime win at the Didsbury Memorial Complex on Feb. 25, which evened out the series at two games apiece. Airdrie had taken a 2-1 lead in the series the night before, with an authoritative 8-1 victory.

However, the other games in the series have been tight. The Thunder won game two by a 2-1 scoreline on Feb. 22, after the Colts opened the series with a 3-2 overtime win the night prior.

On Saturday, Hayden Sotheran won the game for the Colts in OT off a pass from Corson Waiting. Mountainview's other goals were notched by Steven Bell, Trey Stovin, and Jay Heistad. For the Thunder, Joey Haden, Zach Couling, and Will Barrett all made it onto the scoresheet during regulation time.

Airdrie's junior B team will look to regain the series advantage on home ice tonight. Puck-drop is slated for 8:30 p.m.
