Airdrie’s Courtney Missikewitz and her rink didn’t have the bonspiel they were looking for at the Medicine Hat Curling Club last weekend.

The team finished with a 3W-4L record at the Junior Ladies Provincials in Alberta’s Gas City, Jan. 11 to 15.

Missikewitz, along with lead Megan Moffat, second Nicole Aberle and third Dacey Brown, won its first game 8-5 over Stephanie Powell.

But its two consecutive losses, 8-2 to Jocelyn Peterman and 9-7 to Keely Brown, dropped the team out of contention.

It then picked up wins over Athena Sturmay and Kellie Henricks, 8-6 and 7-5 respectively, before dropping a 10-4 decision to Megan Orr and a 9-4 game to Brittany Whittemore.

The Missikewitz rink will now try to regroup for the Alberta winter Games in Spruce Grove next month.
